Kangi was about 8 weeks old when he came into rescue in January of this year. He spent the next three months in his foster home where he was a very happy and kissy puppy. A couple. previous akita owners, adopted him but his energy level may have been a bit too much for them. He came back to rescue at 7 months old. He loves squeaky toys, sticks and running zoomies in the back yard. He knows some basic obedience commands and is working on not pulling while being walked in a leash. He loves car rides ! He gets along with the 2 dogs in his foster home but can be quite exuberant while playing with them. if placed with another dog, he would do best in a home with a dog that is tolerant of a goofy puppy. Kangi also loves children but would do best with children that are either accustomed to living with a rambunctious large dog or middle school age or older. . Kangi can get very excited easily and when he does it takes awhile for him to calm back down. The best home for him is a family with Akita experience who have a laid back household and the patience to deal with him as he outgrows the goofy, energetic stage. If you are looking for a handsome puppy to spice up your life, you may be the home for Kanji.
