Corey was chasing a fawn and found himself 20 feet down from the edge of a quarry on a ledge. The fawn was not so lucky,,,it landed 200 ft down. Corey could not go up and down was a long drop. Some of the workers saw him and managed to g...et him off the ledge to safety. One of them knew a lady, Pam, who did animal rescue. She sent his pix around, but decided to try and place him locally. Hiis home lasted less than 2 days. This family had previously owned an Akita and already had 3 other dogs and decided one more was just one too many, so Corey was returned. Pam contacted Armac and asked if we could take him. We picked him up today....I got to meet them at Capriotti's deli in Delaware, my favorite sub shop. Double score...a nice dog and great subs !! He is still very thin...his vertebrae, hips and shoulders are showing quite clearly. He was a little anxious at first, but settled down and rode well in the car. Corey is a great guy !! He gets along with other dogs, cats, and very laid back. He is a bit of an escape artist but that is because he would rather be out and about all the time with the other dogs rather than crated part time. He walks well on leash, knows hand signals to sit. He is a jewel !!
