Found as a stray and retained by the family for a year, living with another male Akita and two teenaged children. I suspect he was surrendered due to a skin condition that we are working on, that the family couldn’t afford to treat. It looked like flea dermatitis and he is growing in hair (had a bald rear), but he has been started on a course of antibiotics to see if that will speed recovery along. He also had an ear infection.
