This is Tootie, one of a litter of 9 puppies born in the Culpeper County Virginia shelter. Tootie's mom, Cora, was picked-up as a stray and gave birth in the shelter. Cora appears to be a purebred Akita. Dad is unknown, but she looks very much like a black GSD or wolf.
Tootie is very athletic and has great potential to be an agility dog or obedience dog. She is calm and confident but still submissive and is very affectionate with people. She is not pure black but has subtle red/brown highlights and her coat has lovely waves, including feathered withers and plumed tail. Truly a "Black Beauty" in temperament and looks.
