Babe lost her home to a divorce. She was surrendered with a female, flat coated LabxAkita mix. Babe is a long haired Akita who's coat was in such bad shape that it really wasn't salvageable. So she was shaved (worked well for this summer). She is very sweet, and was a real trooper during a long grooming session. So far she's good with everyone. I am told that she stood up to a dominant male dog, but no harm was done (more of that aggression begets aggression). She is a little too interested in the cats in her current foster home, so it is unclear if she could actually live with cats. She currently does not have access to them.
