Baya has progressed by leaps & bounds here! She has actually put on more weight & you can no longer see her ribs even while laying down. She does not chase my cats, but if potential owners have cats, they will have to really work with her and be very cautious until she is acclimated to their cats. She gets along great with Keigo, my male Akita & they play well together: this after 4 months of slowly letting them get to know each other. They do get into tiffs over toys etc. so if potential owners have another dog, no toys or bones laying around when both dogs are out; toys only when they are separate. She is free to roam the house at night and during the day when I'm home. There has only been 1 accident since she's been here. I still stick to my opinion that she be placed in a home with older/bigger children but that's mostly because she's still a little skittish especially if she doesn't know you're reaching out to touch her. She's been to the groomer & received an excellent report. The lady said Baya was very gentle and didn't have any issues with the bath, nail clip or ear cleaning! We're still working on leash walking but she's been better. Oh, and a biggie... no aggression with food toward me or my dog or cats. I'm able to stick my hand in the bowl while she eats and pull the food. away
