Kuma came in with her brother, Hachi.  Their mom had a recurrence of cancer.  She did not have sufficient help with her Akitas and made the decision to put them in a shelter while she was undergoing treatment. ARMAC agreed to take them. This is a bonded pair and we would prefer to place them together.   They had lived their entire lives in their home.  To be suddenly taken to the shelter (a scary place), then to a kennel was a huge upset in their lives.  They are adjusting.  The kennel owner said they rode well in the car.  They are currently in a foster home. They are both very nice dogs.  Kuma seems to be the leader of the two.  In the picture of the two of them, Kuma is on the right
