 An Armac volunteer went to see him.  Here is her report: would love to see Rocky (2 y.o. A/M) get out.  He is currently at that ‘weedy’ stage where he is gangly and narrow.  He is a pale fawn and white pinto with a faint mask on his nose.  He was a family pet whose dad was injured and unable to care for Rocky any longer.  He is panicked at the shelter.  He is DESPERATE to leave.  I think the situation is very stressful for him.  He calmed down when I went into the dog run and he sat when I asked him to.  He just leaned into me for comfort and hugs.  He is a very willing dog and very sweet and gentle.  His primary drawback is he has what appears to be pemphigus on his nose.  This is easily treatable.  I think he will blossom into a very handsome and loving Akita if he can only get out of the shelter.  He is a favorite of the staff.
